3CHI (pronounced “three-chee”) was established by a biochemist with 15 years of product development expertise after seeing the curative properties of hemp firsthand. Since then, 3CHI has concentrated on cannabinoid research and bringing minor cannabinoids to market in order to offer the cleanest, most effective, and most reliable cannabis products possible. At the time of 3CHI’s formation, the hemp industry simply accepted hemp extracts “as is” and concentrated only on CBD, the main cannabinoid contained in hemp. However, 3CHI’s groundbreaking strategy of concentrating on minor cannabinoids opened the road for the industry as it exists now, where minor cannabinoids have eclipsed the demand for CBD.
Throughout its existence, 3CHI has continually pushed boundaries, broken down barriers, and propelled the cannabis industry to new heights. It began with being the first to provide CBN products and then went on to be the first to offer Delta 8 THC, CBC, CBT, mixed cannabis products, and more. Furthermore, 3CHI has several patents filed for many of its manufacturing processes.

So, how did they become one of the major Delta-8 THC distributors in the United States? THC has long been a focus of cannabis prohibition attempts. However, according to National Public Radio (NPR), Congress enacted the Hemp Farming Act of 2018. This enabled hemp to be cultivated provided it did not contain more than 0.3% Delta-9 THC. As a result, many hemp farmers began to look for methods to make cannabis fall within the restrictions of this legislation.
However, one important issue was the testing procedures used to differentiate between Delta-8 THC and Delta-9 THC.
Nearly every independent cannabis lab at the time was making mistakes when screening for delta 8 THC. Some were exaggerating the presence of delta 9 THC, while others were claiming that there wasn’t while there was. 3Chi became one of the firms that consistently used some of the most comprehensive lab testing techniques available. In September 2019, 3CHI researchers found a technique for extracting pure Delta-8 THC from cannabis. As a result, 3CHI became the first company in the United States to commercialize legal THC products.
