Spring / Summer 2017 Makeup and Hair Trends

I love Spring and Summer because nature’s beauty is most inspiring with irregular shapes, textures, sizes and colors with constant change. Beauty is as individual as nature. Hairdressing and makeup are constantly evolving.

During Spring/Summer 2017 Fashion week, Jasper Conran’s models strutted the runway with peach colored lips, cheeks and a touch on the eyes. Dolce & Gabbana models were seen with coral lips, while Blugirl models wore orange eyeshadow. Other Designer’s models wore glitter lips—sparkling like diamonds and blurred lips—not on point,  while some were seen with silver sparkles, shimmering on eyes, eyebrows and half way up the ear.

This seasons eyebrows are fuller and more natural looking, not the narrow looking Nike brow. If you want a fuller brow and don’t have time to etch them in; you can try the new trend called Microblading. This technique is popular for eyebrows that are sparse and thinning. Microblading deposits semipermanent color under the first layer of your skin so your eyebrows look thicker and natural.

Dewy skin is the vibe this spring, not matte looking. Go for the bronzed and glossy complexion. For a bronzed look, I add one squirt of shimmering bronzer Inglot #66 onto to my pallet of foundation mixing thoroughly. It gives an amazing youthful glow.

I also like to apply the Becca Opal pressed powder (I can hear the Angels singing the second I open it) highlighter right on top of the cheek bone.

Long-layered hair is sexy and versatile for a variety of looks. Ponytails and are messy and fun! Lightly tease the root hair, then gather your hair into a ponytail. Next, take a thick section of hair, twist and wrap around a rubber band to add interest. I also love taking long hair and just start twisting or braiding pieces into or next to each other.

Accent braids can be for any occasion; from the casualness of the streets and beaches, to dress-up affairs like Fashion week, magazine photoshoots and weddings. Long hair is sun-kissed, moveable and carefree. Accessories for the hair are also the vibe—think flower crowns, pearls, jewelry and rhinestones.

So here’s how to get noticed this spring—and all summer long: Open your eyes by using a creme kohl pencil in the bottom water line of eye. Add a drop of bronzer to your foundation, brush on highlighting shimmer to your cheekbones, or dabble a hint of sparkle on your eyelids and lips. Let your shimmer linger as you walk bye.

Step out of your comfort zone, darling, and enjoy these trends!
