The Low-Down On Dip Nails: Is This The Latest Trend in Nail Tech?

Dip nails have been all the rave lately. Dip Nails a.k.a. “SNS” Nails by others are the latest trend and advancement in nail technology.

More and more women have been gravitating toward the latest trend all over social media.

What are Dip Nails?

“Dip” Nails are  life changing. The service allows for one to get their nails painted with coats of liquid polish and the nail tech applies base coats then dips your nails

into colored powder, and the end result lasts even longer than you would expect a acrylic set of nails to last.

Erica Marton states it quite well saying, “Dip powder nails are somewhere between a regular mani and a fake nail. We can consider them a “diet acrylic”. Instead of

using UV rays to seal in your polish, the color comes from a pigmented powder. Between base coats and a sealant, you dip your nails into a little jar of your chosen

color (SNS and Revel are the two most popular and vetted manufacturers) for a mani that could last three to four weeks. The trend isn’t exactly new per se—it’s

actually been around for years—but the wonderful world of social media is quickly popularizing the process and helping it stage a comeback.” – Erica Marton

Why should I Know About Dip Nails?

This nail trend is not new to the market but only surfacing to the air lately due to more and more women wanting healthier, long lasting, nails. You need to be in on

this trend because it will allow your nail manicure to last at least three-four weeks (a whole lot longer than your typical acrylic set would last you!) if not more and

allow for your nails to “breathe” even the slightest bit more then they would getting a full set of acrylics. Dip powder is technically acrylic powder so it is not organic

or natural, but is a cool take on long-wear in nail technology that has been around forever.  We are in on achieving Dip Nails.
