Flawless Foundation: Achieve Expert MUA Skin
Hi dolls! This week I’ll be showing you how to achieve flawless foundation that’ll slay all day. Before I start this article, I wanted to let all of my lovely readers know that I will be moving on from Runwayz Magazine. This has been an incredible experience & I am unbelievably thankful for this opportunity. Feel free to follow me on Instagram(@gracemichellle) to keep up with my makeup journey. I appreciate and love you all so much, and without further ado – how to achieve flawless foundation.
Flawless foundation starts with skincare. Cleanse, exfoliate and moisturize your skin before applying any products. This will ensure you have a clean & virtually smooth base. Foundation looks better with primer, but only if the primer best suits your skin & it’s needs.
Oily skin will benefit best from mattifying or pore refining primers as they help control oil and shrink larger pores.
Dry skin will benefit best from glowy, dewy, or moisturizing primers as they help keep moisture in the skin essentially keeping the skin plump & hydrated.
Combination skin will benefit best from all-in-one type primers such as the Too Faced RxPrimer as they cover most if not all the concerns combo skin has.
Sensitive skin will benefit best from redness reducing or calming primers as they will help reduce sensitivity to the products applied to the skin.
Once you’ve got the perfect primer for your skin, you need to choose your foundation. There all so many different types that are meant for different concerns. I would start by choosing the amount of coverage you want; sheer, medium, or full coverage. From there, look up foundations with the desired amount of coverage as well as something to suit your skin type. Personally, out of each type of foundation(cream, stick, liquid, airbrush, or powder foundation) I think stick and liquid foundations are the best to achieve flawless-looking skin for any skin type. Hourglass Vanish Seamless Finish Foundation Stick and NARS Sheer Glow Foundation are good for all skin types.
Last but not least, setting spray. Choose one of three sprays; setting spray that will mattify and seal your makeup in like concrete, one that will set your makeup just enough, or something to give you a nice glow. Another option is to set with powder and leave out setting spray. (I would suggest both)
BOOM! Flawless foundation.
