How to Style a Summer Dress in Fall

Are you considering putting those summer dresses away? If so, think again!

Just because fall is coming doesn’t mean we need to let go of our summer dresses. I’ve been living in mine because they are so easy and comfy, definitely my go to outfits this summer! Did I mention how comfy summer dresses are ? 🙂

Short summer dresses can be styled just as much! Those dresses would be very cute and cozy with high boots and tights! But since it’s not quite that hot just yet, a maxi dress is what we will be styling today.

One of my favorite things to do with an airy maxi summer dress is to style it with a soft and cozy sweater or a little fall colored jacket and sometimes even a fun denim jacket.

I tend to do this with short or long summer dresses, but here is how I styled one white maxi dress two ways to transition into fall.

Adding a denim jacket can give an edgy look that transforms the entire outfit especially when pairing with black booties. You can add a leather jacket with embroideries to make it more stylish like this one here.

Lately, I’ve been loving a pop of color especially Yellow/Mustard ~ I decided to throw this easy crochet yellow cardigan over this white dress. Perfect for colder weathers! You can add a sweater like this or this and even a longer cardigan like this one here. I love adding color on plain dresses to give them a whole new look or simply adding a plain black jacket like this one here and here.

Seriously, summer dresses don’t need to be put aside this fall. I know I’ll be styling mine more!
