It’s time to care for your heart. Jennifer Shultz, Founder and CEO of Jennifer Shultz Style, is the producer of the Fall In Love With Fashion Charity Event for the American Heart Association of Orange County. This event was held this past Thursday, September 21 at the Renaissance Sports Club in Aliso Viejo, California.
Jennifer said, “I am so grateful for the exceptional people and businesses that came together as a community to support such a great issue as heart health, since Heart Disease is the #1 killer of women. The event was a success. I am truly humbled by the massive outpouring of support and I can’t wait to produce my next event… Stayed tuned!!” Receive Jennifer’s ebook at www.jennifershultzstyle.com
According to the American Heart Association, “Heart disease and stroke cause 1 in 3 women’s deaths each year, killing approximately one woman every 80 seconds.”
Jennifer Shultz shared how she survived a heart attack at the age of 47. She was in a toxic relationship that wrecked havoc on her heart. Her doctor told her that if she didn’t get out of that relationship it would kill her.
She took her doctor’s advice and left that relationship even though she was financially dependent. Since Jennifer took the reigns to her life, she has been thriving in her career and is in an amazing, loving relationship. And, she is an advocate for empowering women.
Ann, another amazing woman, was a guest speaker at the event and shared how she survived a stroke at 40 years old—so young! She had to relearn how to speak and function.
I thought only the elderly had strokes and heart attacks.
According to Dr. Holly S. Anderson, cardiologist, “In women between the ages of 29 and 45, both heart disease and stroke are on the rise. Prevention is the key—regular exercise, sleep, a healthy diet and stress reduction.”
The purpose of the Fashion Show was to empower women and create an awareness of heart disease. And to know that it is preventable. It is true, our heart is the wellspring of life.
Before the fashion show, a silent auction was held as we enjoyed appetizers and drinks. We also got the opportunity to shop for jewelry, clothes and journals. The runway models were entrepreneurs, CEOs, business women and Moms. They looked amazing strutting the catwalk, exuding power with an unshakeable confidence.
The featured designers were International Celebrity Designer, Cheri Elizabeth, Mia Brazilian and an International, Award-Winning buyer from Betinnis. Hair and Makeup for all models was provided by V Salon.
Cheri Elizabeth said, “It was beautiful to see so many incredible people come together for this lovely event benefitting the American Heart Association. Being involved in charity events is very important me. It was such an honor to have been asked to have my gowns be a part of the Fashion Show. It has truly been a privilege to have worked with Jennifer Shultz. She is a remarkable woman.”
Cheri advises, “Contribute in some way to make things better in our world. Never underestimate the difference you can make in someone’s life. We have such a profound power when we lend an ear, hand or an act of kindness.”
Jojo Romeo, starring in Bravos upcoming hit TV Show “Real Estate Wars,” was a model for the Fashion Show runway and said, “I was honored to be a part of such a great cause and so grateful I got to do it with a bunch of badass inspiring women. I felt like a million bucks in Cheri’s dress, and no kidding aside, It was as comfortable as my pajamas.”
Lauren Powers, Celebrity Fitness Legend, said, “It’s powerful being a confident woman. I love being in projects that give back. I’m a promoter of fitness. Lauren Powers is known as the Show that gives back.” – Lauren Powers
Manna Kadar, of Manna Kadar Cosmetics, stated, “Amazing Show! So professional and organized, and the models looked so great in the many fabulous styles for Fall. It was nice to see all the shapes walk the runway. The silent auction was incredible with so many wonderful items to bid on. Bravo!”
Our lifestyle is by design. I’d much rather spend time doing the things I love than rehabilitating in a hospital setting. I feel so motivated to take care of myself and my heart more than ever. How about you, doll? Will you take care of your heart too? It’s the key to a healthy life.
