Hello dolls! Happy(belated) 4th of July! Since it is the beginning of a new month, it’s time for a new #TrendingAtRunwayz. Throughout the month of June, I have noticed that flowers have been making their way into a lot of areas of the beauty industry; and everyone is loving it.
First, we have floral packaging. Pretty Vulgar has just released their products on Sephora.com, most of their lip products have the CUTEST floral packaging.
There have also been floral-themed product releases. In example, Lancôme. Lancôme have come out with the Les Petites Fleurs Beauty Kit consisting of a full-size Juicy Shaker, the Hypnôse Drama Mascara, and the travel size Bi-Facial Double-Action Eye Makeup Remover.
Flowers have also made their way INSIDE our beauty products. Winky Lux have come out with the version of the Korean-favorite floral lip balm/stain. It is said that these lipsticks change to the color of your lips and provide a beautiful floral scent- along with a cute little flower inside the clear product.
A new type of body jewel has arrived; Face Florals. A cute little Etsy shop called Face Florals are growing, drying and selling all different types of small flowers that adhere to the skin; aka the BEST festival look ever. You can use them to create all types of fun & beautiful looks and embrace your inner flower child.
You can shop for these beautiful pressed blooms here as well as their Etsy shop.A makeup trend that is still going strong is Floral Eyeliner. A cute & fun way to amp up your eyeliner game for spring & (apparently) summer. Throw on a matching lipstick & your ready to take on nature.
Rose water has been a very popular skincare item recently & for good reason. Rose water can be used on any & all skin types, helps balance the skin’s pH levels, has anti-inflammatory & antibacterial properties, AND helps hydrate, revitalize and moisturize the skin.
Needless to say that flowers & floral themed items seem to be making their way into our makeup drawers & onto our faces – and there just may be even more around the corner.
