Ready for a change, but not sure? What are you waiting for—do it! Shake it up. Go to your hairdresser and ask for a hairstyle that suits your face and head shape, profile and lifestyle. And while you’re there, ask about enhancing your hair color by adding a ‘photo-gloss finish’ to your hair—which adds shine, protection and fullness to your hair. It actually makes your hair look younger!

Ask your hairdresser if you can book a one-on-one class with them to learn different ways to style your hair. Learn new braids, elastic updos, pony tails, and how to get your hair to look sexy—to have that extra edge. I give one-on-one hair and makeup classes to my clients so they can have a new vibe they’ve been wanting!

Why not try some Balayage accent pieces on your mid-length fringe? If you hair is just one color, it can look thin and flat, especially if you’re over 40 years old. Balayage will give it some depth and beautiful texture. Something to keep in mind, as we get older our hair ages just as our skin ages (both need hydration and nourishment), so we need to take extra good care of ourselves.

After your hair has been transformed, make an appointment with a makeup artist and ask how you can update and enhance your look.

Sometimes tweaking an eye liner or adding some shimmer on your cheek bones can awaken new energy. Why should the models have all the fun and the newest looks? Lol.

Treat yourself every season to the new looks of Spring/Summer and Fall/Winter in makeup, hair and fashion. Start your own Fashion Week! Strut your walk down the aisle at your office, home, grocery store and out doors.

As a hair and makeup artist, I have so much fun seeing the new colors of the seasons. I love to shop for new makeup, hair care products, fashionable clothes and sandals.

I also look for new books to read and take personal development courses that will help me become a more equipped communicator and person, leader and warrior.
